Since writing the above, I have received your orders by Lieutenant Geel for working on the road. The greatest difficulty that we shall experience on that point is for the want of tools; if it is possible to receive them from Detroit, it would accelerate the business very much, as I have had the greatest difficulty in acquiring them.
