Detachment Orders, Detroit, 20th May 1812. Thomas Hunt is appointed Sergeant Major to the Detachment of the Militia of the Territory of Michigan, now in the service of the United States; he is therefore to be obeyed accordingly. Lieutenant Johnston, of Capt. Smyth's Company, of Cavalry, will on the 22nd Inst., repair to the River Raisin, and take the command of that part of said troop which is stationed there, and Col.
