The Society then adjourned till 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
Thursday Afternoon.
The Society met according to adjournment. Mr. 0. Poppleton was called to the chair during the temporary absence of the President.
"What I Know About 0-taw-wars and Ne- war -go, "by Ephraim S. Williams, was read by Col. M. Shoemaker.
"A Narrative concerning the Knaggs Farm and Windmill in Springwells, " near Detroit, was read by J. C. Holmes. ¦ A violin solo—"Home, Sweet Home"—was rendered by Mrs. Ella Shank.
" Some Sketches of the Early Settlement of the Copper Region of Lake Superior " was read by John H. Forster.
