Wednesday Evening. The society met at 7: 30 o'clock, standard time. The President in the
chair.
Prayer was offered by Rev. B. C. Crawford.
A quartette—"Dancing over the Waves"—was sung by Messrs. Pratt and Esselstyn, Misses Turner and Paddack, Mrs. S. L. Kilbourne presiding at
the piano.
The President, C. I. Walker,, then delivered his address.
" The Schools of Michigan during the Territorial Period, " by Lucy Salmon, A. M., was read by Geo. W. Knight, A. M.
A vocal solo was then sung by Mr. Adler.
" Early days in Genesee county " by Sherman Stevens, was read by Rev.
E. C. Crawford.
