in the old capitol, now a thing of the past. The object is the collecting and preserving historical, biographical, and other information in relation to the State of Michigan. Any person forty years of age and twenty-five years a resident of the State is eligible to membership in this Society on the payment of one dollar. Officers of this Society render their services gratuitiously and are most happy when most successful in regaining from oblivion the early history of their cherished
