Custard Pudding, "Dandy, " No. 2. —Sweet milk, 1 qt.; flour, 2 table-spoonfuls; white sugar, 5 table-spoonfuls; a pinch of salt and a little mace. DieRections—Mix the flour, salt, mace and 4 spoonfuls of the sugar with the milk; beat the yolks of the eggs and stir in also, and place in the oven to bake, stirring with a spoon 2 or 3 times after putting it into the oven, which prevents the flour from settling; beat the white of the eggs with the other spoonful of sugar and spread on the top, just before done; replace in the oven to cook the eggs and to give the top a nice brown. Serve with a little granulated or powdered sugar.
