Upon the representations made by the inhabitants of Fort Pont-Chartrain, on the Detroit (strait) of Lake Erie, to Messrs. de Bois-hebert, Capt. of a company of a marine detachment and formerly a commanding officer in said Fort Pont-Chartrain and Peon, Knight of the Military order of St Louis Major of the city and Government of Quebec and now the commanding officer of the said Fort, and which representations they have tendered to us, stating
