SHERIFFS DEED TO LAND IN WAYNE COUNTY.1

This indenture made the first day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety-seven, between, Hermann Eberts, Esq., acting as high sheriff for the county of Wayne of the one part, and James May, Esq., of Detroit of the other part witnesseth that whereas by virtue of a writ of Levari facias issued out of the Honorable Court of Common Pleas for the county of Wayne at the suit of James May, Esq., of Detroit, against the plantation and tenements of Pierre Michel Campau yeoman of River Ecorce to the said sheriff directed.
