Der Sir:—• I am in receipt of a letter.from Hon. C. C. Trowbridge, of 'our city, enclosing a note from you to him in reference to the question as o whether there were any British troops engaged on the side of the Indians tgainst the volunteers under Colonel William Crawford, in his expedition to Sandusky, in 1782.
Although a stranger to you, nevertheless I take the liberty of dropping you his note, as I desire some information from you concerning the point here-nafter explained.
