every year be adopted as the time for the assembling at the seat of government of those entrusted with the power of adopting or making laws, and that special meetings of the said persons may be held at other times of the year at the request of any one of them; the same being adopted from the laws of three of the original States, to-wit: the States of Connecticut, Vermont, and Virginia, as far as necessary and suitable to the Territory of Michigan.
