Be it therefore further enacted by the Governor and the Judges of the Territory of Michigan that no such writing as aforesaid, signed as aforesaid, and purporting to be a law, shall have any force or authority within the Territory of Michigan; the same being adopted from the laws of five of the original States, to-wit: the States of Connecticut, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Ohio, and Virginia, as far as necessary and suitable
