you. Among all our laws, nothing has been done to promote the educa- tion of children. I am not willing to leave the Territory without warm provisions on that subject. Will you devote your mind to the subject and prepare a law, to-morrow for the purpose. Under the circumstances of the Country, I should think it would be expedient for the district Courts to be authorized and required to raise the necessary funds, and make the regulations in their districts.
