Rankin twelve hundred livres, for goods which I got from him the same year I had goods from McGrigor, and as these goods I had from Mr. Rankin were converted into skins as well as those I had from McGrigor, it is nothing but right that Mr. Rankin should have his share of the returns, as his goods in part contributed to make the returns.
