This indenture made at Detroit this twenty-ninth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and two, between John McGregor, of Sandwich, in the Province of Upper Canada, Merchant, of the one part, and Daniel Ransom of Detroit Millwright, of the other part, witnesseth, that the said John McGregor, for and in consideration of the rent, covenants and agreements hereafter in and by these presents mentioned, reserved, and contained on the part and behalf of the said Daniel Ransom,
