Sir: —You will please to take notice that at the opening of the first meeting of the second Legislature in this Territory, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and one, I shall dispute your right to a seat in that Legislature, in which, no doubt you will be returned by the returning officers of this County, as a member duly elected at an election held at Detroit, in said County of Wayne, on the 14th, 15th, and 16th
