Mrs. Mullett was a true mother in Israel, a loving wife, devoted mother and sincere Christian. This pair were blessed with eleven children, five sons and six daughters. Four sons and two daughters survive; they reside in Meridian township, Ingham county, Michigan. In the war of 1812 John was an officer in the Buffalo Home Guards, and was present at the battle of Black Rock, which was the only fighting he did. He was a Federalist and opposed to the war, but turned out to defend his home, when invaded.
