Lenawee County Probate Judges 1885
I am indebted to Whitney & Bonner's Biographical Record for the following regarding Judge Beaman, which I transcribe and condense, as containing the salient points in his history:
"In 1838, he came to Michigan, having pursued his legal studies in
Rochester, N. Y.; was admitted to the bar in 1839, and first settled in Manchester, now in Washtenaw county. Later in the same year he moved to Tecumseh and formed a partnership with Hon. C. A. Stacy. In 1843 he was appointed prosecuting attorney of Lenawee county, and removed to Adrian, where he resided up. to the time of his decease.
