He also detected two of the agents -of the company in like practices and embezzling furs from the company's warehouse. These he likewise reported to the Governor General and to the company. All of these offending parties were strong at the colonial court. One of the detected agents was a brother-in-law of the two principal directors of the company, and the other was a son-in-law of one of them, who was an uncle to the Governor General. This discharge of his duty, united to existing causes already referred to, originated a settled determination
