Michigan and settled in Wayne county, twenty-five miles west of Detroit; from there he moved to the township of Superior, Washtenaw county, thence to Salem, same county, and in 1842 came to Shiawassee county, settling in Bennington, where he lived until April, 1872, when he made his home in Laingsburg, where his sons resided.
