SHIAWASSEE COUNTY .17
friendly greeting in the soeiety of which he was a member. His voice will not be heard in the public assemblies, in the social circle and in the family. He is missed, but not forgotten. He is remembered for what he has done; for the broad and comprehensive plans; for the foundations laid for the good of those who survive, and for the deeds of kindness. "He being dead, yet speaks to us" through his works and labors of love, and through the many relations he
sustained to friends.
