breaking the ice as they went. Her father's name was Mashieo, and for a number of years he ran a ferry at South Saginaw. In 1836 she was married to Joseph Campau, who came here from Detroit as an Indian trader, with whom she has lived for the past forty-eight years. She leaves a husband and two daughters, Mrs. John Evon and Mrs. Elgin Milligan, both of whom reside in this city, besides a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
