Of these 69 were over seventy years of age, 46 were over eighty years, while one (Mrs. Bagley of Hudson) had reached the advanced age of one hundred and four years. All had been residents of Lenawee county twenty-five years or more. L. D. DEWEY. As the sturdy oaks of the forest fall before the woodman's ax, so the honored pioneers of the county fall before the sickle of Death. One by one they leave the pleasures and hopes, together with the sorrows and disappointments of this life and take up their abode in the silent city of the dead. They are gone but not forgotten
