I. J. MERRITT.2

About seventeen years ago he built the hotel known to our old residents-as the Merritt House, which was one of the finest in this part of the country when completed. After a time he went to Lakeview to live, so-as to be near his daughter. There he remained until about two years since,. when he came back to his old camping ground, —Greenville.
