BY JOSEPH P. SHOEMAKER.. CAPT. D. L. COON. Capt. Druby L. Coon, a resident of Greenville and vicinity for thirty years, died at his residence, in that place, on Friday, December 5, 1884, after a lingering illness of three months, of necrosis of the bones of the foot, aged sixty years. Capt. Coon was well known throughout the State as a hotel proprietor, having owned the Exchange and Webster House at Greenville for a number of years. He also built and operated Coburn's Exchange at Howard City for a number of years.
