Dr. Minos McEobert

DR. MINOS MC ROBERT. Dr. Minos McEobert died at his home in Mason on Sunday, October 5,. 1884, at 2: 15 p. m., aged eighty years, eight months and nineteen days. Dr. McEobert was born in Springfield, Vt., February 14, 1804. Four years later be removed with his parents to Clinton county, N. Y., where he remained until his 25th year. Lured by the prospective advantages of the west, he departed for Michigan in 1837, and in the same year located at. Mason. He was the first physician in the village and the second to locate in the county. He built him an office which was used for a great variety of purposes, serving for a doctor's office, county. register's office and in fact. almost for a court-house. Strong in physique, and with an experience of five years in the practice of medicine in the east, Dr. McRobert was well equipped to grapple with the almost universal sickness of this new and mias matic country. His practice was laborious in the extreme. Rides were long and the exposures great, but he met the labors of his calling with that untir- ing zeal, hopefulness and courage which ever characterized him in his long career.
