Jacob Beeson.

stockholder in the Merchants' Bank of Detroit, and was for two years, 1876 and 1877, president of the Detroit Board of Trade, and in every position he occupied was conspicuous for untiring energy and rare business tact. He was a member of the last Constitutional Convention of Michigan and an active participant in the doings of that body. He will be remembered in Niles, his old home, to which he returned a few months ago, and where he was warmly welcomed by his old neighbors, as an honorable and successful merchant, an extensive and enterprising dealer in real estate, a thorough business man, always ready to work for the interest of Mies, his chosen home, always efficiently and with his whole heart.
