Conspiracy of Pontiac
The Seige of Detriot
Mr. Gouin sent Chovin again, who, meeting Major Campbell just outside the fort on his way to Pontiac, again entreated him not to put himself in the power of the savages, but the Major was too confident. He arrived at the house of Mr. Quyeries, and had no sooner seated himself than he was declared the prisoner of Pontiac. Mr. McDougall, an officer under Major Campbell, who had generously accompanied him, was also taken into-custody.
