THE PIONEERS OF BELLEVUE
Abe was the owner of a span of horses, and borrowed Hart's wagon to haul a load of goods from Detroit. On arriving at Detroit, he ascertained that a steamboat would leave the next morning for Buffalo, and Abe came to the conclusion that this was his last and only chance of visiting his old home again. So he made up his mind that he would dispose of his team and wagon, shake the dust of Michigan from his feet, and leave for Buffalo, which he did.
