EARLY JESUITS OF MICHIGAN.

Huron wilderness, and commenced their labors, soon to be followed by Lallemont and many others. Here for fifteen subsequent years the Jesuits continued with calm, impassive courage and unwearied patience, their self-denying labors in the midst of privations, peril, suffering, insult, contumely, and danger the most imminent, the details of which would make a volume of thrilling interest.
